Psoriasis Genetics Laboratory Study, University of Michigan, Dept. of Dermatology

If you have psoriasis, please consider participation in this important research work.  It requires you to read and sign a consent form and  then donate a small amount of blood for genetic study.

We are lucky to live in a time when more time and effort is being spent on finding the cause and treatments for psoriasis.   The recent development of biologic therapies for psoriasis such as etanercept (Enbrel), adalimumab (Humira), infiliximab (Remicade) and others has made psoriasis a much easier disease to live with.  With continued research we will be able to develop even more precisely targeted medications for psoriasis.

The genetic samples are used to help researchers find the genes linked to psoriasis. The National Psoriasis BioBank is currently collecting DNA samples from individuals with and without psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.
