Acne

Therapeutics Clinical Research has a research study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel investigational medication for patients with moderate to severe acne. 

Inclusion Criteria

  • Males and females age 18 years and older
  • Clinical diagnosis of moderate to severe acne
  • Acne which has been unresponsive to oral antibiotics

Exclusion Criteria

  • Use of certain medications or treatments (to be discussed)
  • Recent history of drug or alcohol abuse
  • Skin diseases that may interfere with evaluation
  • Pregnant, planning a pregnancy or nursing

Thinning Hair

Therapeutics Clinical Research is conducting a medical research study of an investigational product for thinning hair.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Adult women, age 18 to 59
  • Adult men, age 18 to 49
  • General good health
  • Have hair loss
  • Willing to maintain the same hairstyle, color and hair regimen throughout the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • Pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding women
  • Abnormalities of the scalp
  • Underlying medical problems such as HIV, uncontrolled systemic disease, uncontrolled hyper- or hypothyroidism
  • Hair transplants or scalp reductions
  • Use of hair weaves, extensions or wigs within 3 months prior to study entry

 

New Topical Medication for Rosacea

Therapeutics Clinical Research is doing research to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a new investigational topical medication for patients with moderate to severe rosacea. 

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Males and females age 18 years and older
  • Moderate to severe papulopustular rosacea

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Other forms of rosacea or facial dermatoses that may be confounded with papulopustular rosacea
  • Underlying known disease or surgical/medical condition
  • Clinically significant abnormal lab values
  • A beard that would interfere with study treatment and assessment
  • Female who is breast feeding, pregnant, or planning to become pregnant

 

Rosacea Study

Therapeutics Clinical Research is conducting a medical research study of an investigational drug for adults with facial bumps caused by rosacea.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults 18 and older
  • General good health
  • 5-40 papules on the face caused by papulopustular rosacea

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding women
  • Topical or oral use of dapsone
  • Current use of niacin > 500mg/day
  • Use of light of laser therapy within 3 months
  • Ocular rosacea
  • Use of tanning beds or other intense UV exposure during the study (mountain sports, sunbathing, etc.)
  • Participation in another investigational drug trial within 30 days
