Vera Morhenn, M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist who spent about 13 years in the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University. During this time, she carried out a number of clinical and basic research projects in the area of psoriasis and was one of the first to publish that psoriasis may have an immune basis. After moving to the San Diego area, she discovered that identifiable and quantifiable RNA molecules can be isolated from the skin, non-invasively, by tape stripping the epidermis. While working in the laboratory of Dr. Rich Gallo at UCSD, she worked on the pathophysiology of rosacea. The results of this effort led to a seminal publication in Nature Medicine. Other clinical research interests include actinic keratoses as well as the autoimmune diseases of the skin. Dr. Morhenn is bilingual in German and English.

Eugene Huang, M.D., Ph.D.

Eugene Huang, M.D., Ph.D. is a board certified dermatologist with clinical interests in medical and cosmetic dermatology. He is particularly interested in the therapeutic and clinical development of immunomodulatory biologics and inflammatory modulators to treat skin cancers and inflammatory skin diseases, such as psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, acne and connective tissue disorders. Dr. Huang received his undergraduate degree with honors at Carleton College and completed his M.D. and Ph.D. in immunology at the University of Washington. He finished his internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at the University of California, San Diego.
